sad-woman.jpgJust because an addict has made the choice not to turn to drugs and alcohol doesn’t mean that the problems that drove her to these substances have gone away. The challenges and stress of day-to-day life will always be there, and just like everyone else, recovering addicts must face setbacks and disappointments – without being able to turn to the crutches that once helped her get through the day.

Tough Decisions

Deciding to confront and end a substance-abuse problem is one of the most important decisions that a woman can make in her life – a decision to fight for a life free of dependency. However, for addicts, it’s a battle that has to be waged on multiple fronts – the decision to seek help, recovery from treatment, and facing life as a sober individual.

The Open Door Retreat aims to help women learn and develop the skills they need to stay sober after they have undergone treatment. In the isolated, serene environment of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, women who undergo our four-week program will engage in different therapies and activities designed to help them understand their problems and themselves.

Spiritual Help

The women who pass through our recovery center find a new way to achieve both physical and spiritual strengths – the ability to find stimulation and fulfillment without the use of substances, and the ability to cope with life’s challenges without relapsing.

That you’ve made the decision to seek help shows you have the ability to seek change. At Open Door, we help you make sure that change happens – and that it lasts. You’ve faced up to your addiction – now prepare for the beginning of a new and better life.
